Commerce Manager**Wavemaker Commerce is the dedicated commerce specialism within Wavemaker UK.

We are a team of experts, working with clients to develop holistic commerce strategies across marketplaces, d2c and social commerce.

Our work touches all parts of our client organisations and is firmly entrenched in the Wavemaker products team.


The UK practice has long been seen as a leader amongst the markets delivering varied and scaled activation and consulting projects for clients such as Danone, Perrigo, Campari, and Henkel.

As such our UK practice is increasingly viewed as the template for how we roll out globally.


We are looking to expand the team due to recent new client wins and expanding scopes on existing clients and we are looking for an experienced commerce manager to join the growing team, help drive our proposition forward and continue to develop our commerce services.


Core responsibilities:


  • As an intelligent, motivated, and selfstarting Wavemaker, with a strong background in retail media and Amazon, you will be responsible for driving the ecommerce and retail media approach forward for Perrigo, Henkel, Evergreen and INEOS.
  • Managing the daytoday performance across paid search and display to deliver ecommerce growth. This will include search and display forecasting, strategy and campaign development, execution, optimization, trend analysis and measurement as well as managing media budgets, providing extensive insight and recommendations to our clients.
  • You will look to deliver broader commerce consulting projects, working alongside senior Amazon retail & programmatic specialists to provide a robust and holistic approach to the platform for clients. Alongside Amazon, we will be looking to you, to collaborate and define the agency way of working with larger omnichannel eretailer partners such as Tesco, Nectar360, Asda, Ocado and Morrisons.
  • You will have the time and scope to support on wider, nonAmazon, ecommerce consulting projects such as direct to consumer, social commerce or other eretailer initiatives. You will collaborate with your counterpart and provide specialist input into our consulting projects for Wavemaker Commerce on a local (UK) and regional level by engaging with key stakeholders.
  • You will be required to deliver UNLOCK our consultancy grade ecommerce audits at pace, and you will play an active role in and at times lead strategic consulting engagements with our clients to help them define clear marketplace and ecommerce strategies.
  • Lastly you will play a significant role in helping 'Connected Commerce' live and beath internally and with clients, to keep us at the forefront of ecommerce and a leader in the market.

Person Specification:


  • Strong understanding of the ecommerce landscape and its future development.
  • Indepth understanding of marketplaces (particulalry Amazon) and grocery retailers across retail readiness, content and media. With Criteo University and Amazon Advertising Accrediatation to hand
  • Basic understanding on DSP as a medium and providers in this space, especially on Amazon.
  • Comfortable with data and analytics
  • Presence of competence and confidence, in working with data, so that time saving efficiencies, can be spotted, through to advanced insights being surfaced to our clients. Amazon brand analytics is a must for this role.
  • Expertise in commerce technology, working with the likes Pacvue and Skai to drive automation and growth strategies for clients. Also experience working or knowledge of Dunnhumby Sphere and utilizing the likes of Profitero for retail media content management.

  • Confidence and ability to work independently with clients, writing and delivering client facing presentations, identifying issues, and escalating and/or resolving as necessary.
  • Team Player & Leader a motivational team player to manage a team of 2 executives and able to develop their progress within the team.
