Description

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well-motivated individual with good interpersonal skills to join the medicines supply team within the Pharmacy Department.

To undertake duties supporting the supply of medicines to patients in hospital and on their discharge.

Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
Whilst in the Dispensary your day will include labelling and dispensing of prescriptions.

Being the Pharmacy first point of contact on reception, receiving and prioritising prescriptions and dealing with initial queries directly with ward nursing and support staff.

You will also be expected to deliver prescription medicines from Pharmacy to ward and departments across the hospital site.

In Distribution you will be responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of stock medicines on ward and departments across the hospital site.

This will include visiting wards, checking the medicines held against pre-determined stock lists and replenishing stock to these levels. You will then pick the stock from the Pharmacy store and deliver to the appropriate ward.
