Financial Accountant - Kent


Our client is one of the fastest growing P2P lenders in the Property Finance market, specialising with Bridging and Development Finance loans.

We are now seeking a Financial Accountant to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Control, the Accountant will be responsible for establishing the processes and controls around the new SPV accounting and company administration activitieswhich are being established.


You will be responsible for:
(non-exhaustive)

  • Collaborate with the team currently performing the accounting and company administration duties and assume responsibility for these functions across the new SPV.
  • Liaise with the thirdparty investor to ensure the correct information is being shared and reported and meets the required deadlines.
  • Produce a timetable detailing all deliverables for the SPV.
  • Production of monthly management information.
  • Assisting Investor Reporting process, end audit processes, migration of accounting to new system and, assist the finance team with adhoc tasks.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Thorough understanding and responsibility for compliance with all Facility / Credit Agreements.
  • Ensuring accurate & reliable information is provided within deadlines agreed with stakeholders.
  • Prepare Forecasts and prepare a Report to the board regarding the Forecast update.
  • Ensuring financial requirements of all contract agreements are met, such as provision of financial information to stakeholders etc.

Minimum requirements:

  • Partqualified or finalist ACA (or similar).
  • Financial Services exposure is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience of working with SPVs and financing vehicles.
  • Good understanding of IFRS accounting standards and reporting to UK Accounting Standards FRS 10
  • Extremely accurate, possess an analytical ethos, excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Have a growth mindset and be able to improve and develop our processes as we grow.
  • Be able to think on your feet and take ownership of your work.
  • Desire to leverage former experience to help shape our operations.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring Financial Accountant to learn and grow professionally within this role, as the responsibilities shall increase over time.
