The Role


I'm recruiting for a leading energy provider which has multiple projects on the go currently and has celebrated continued growth and success.


They are looking for a Scala Developer to join them on an initial contract of 6 months (with an opportunity to extend beyond this time) to join them on analysing, developing, documenting, and maintaining a new codebase the team has inherited on the EV (electricvehicles) side of the business.

You will have the opportunity to take lead on this project, working alongside talented engineers and developers.

You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your leadership skills, rearchitect an existing codebase and get your hands stuck into a reallyinteresting role.


Essentials

  • High level knowledge of Scala
  • Experience working on streaming ETL Solutions (Kafka / Amazon Kinesis)
  • Strong understanding of cloudbased environments; GCP & AWS
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment, BDD/TDD & CI/CD deployment strategies
  • An understanding of Cats, Catseffect would be desirable
