We are looking for Ambulance Care Assistants to work in the Bicester area. You will need to be confident driving a long wheel-based vehicle - Transit van type (this is covered with a standard driving licence)

We offer a basic salary of £21,318 for 37.5 hours across weekdays and weekends.

You will need to be flexible with your available hours as shift times fall between 6am - Midnight on a rota basis.

Any hours you work between 8pm-6am Monday-Friday, you will get unsociable hours shift bonus taking you to a minimum of £15.41 an hour.

Weekend overtime can be available outside of your scheduled shifts at a good rate of pay.

In addition a welcome incentive is available. Our client will pay £500 as a joining incentive split into 2 payments.

During you first week of training you will receive £300 and at the end of your second month the next £200.

As an Ambulance Care Assistant your Duties will include:
Collecting and driving discharged patients from local hospitals and ensuring their safe arrival home
Checks that the home environment is adequately secured after the departure of the patient upon their return home.
Administering basic first aid and oxygen as required if needed.
Being in the back of the van supporting patients, keeping an eye on them and ensuring their comfort at all times
Completing all necessary vehicle and journey documentation
Be able to assist patients in walking, pushing them in a wheelchair and lifting them in and out of a vehicle/home
Report facts concerning accidents or incidents to hospital personnel or law enforcement officials
Ensure the vehicle and associated equipment is always in a safe and clean condition, reporting any defects to the appropriate managers
