This is a wonderful chance to be part of one of the UK's biggest train franchises as a Night Shift Train Cleaner based in Littlehampton on the night shift.

This is an initial 6-month contract with the opportunity to be taken on permanently after six months which presents a fantastic career platform.

You will be joining the southern arm of the organisation which operates numerous services within the south coast.


The Role


We are currently looking for x2 individuals to join the night shift cleaning team who are tasked with ensuring the trains meet a high standard of cleanliness before resuming service.

You will be carrying full interior cleaning which includes hoovering, mopping and touch point cleaning of all areas of the train such as luggage racks, tables, toilets and chairs to ensure the trains are in excellent conditions.

You will also be exposed to external cleaning including graffiti removal.

The shift hours are 21:30pm - 04:30am on a seven-day roster including weekends.

Pay Rate & Benefits
Standard Hours (35 hours p/w)
- £12.92 p/h

Overtime (+36 hours) - £15.38 p/h

Rest Days - £16.61 p/h

Sunday Shift - £18.45 p/h


About You


If this role has caught your interest, here is what you need to be considered for the night shift train cleaner role at Littlehampton.

Ideally, you will be experienced within a vehicle/industrial or house cleaning environment.


The night shift is on based on a seven-day roster operating from Sunday-Saturday covering the working hours of 21:30pm-04:30am across weeknights and weekends, overtime is often available at the management's discretion.


Training will be provided covering depot protection such a SIDYS (safety in depot, yard and sidings), site safety and cleaning solutions.

This will be a one-day classed based course.

Work is undertaken in a safety critical environment so you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
