Are you up for a challenge? Do you want to contribute to improving the lives of others by supporting the Salvation Army Oldham Fitton Hill community program?

We are seeking a Relief Worker to serve as a Community Assistant, collaborating with the Corps Officer and volunteers to oversee and enhance our community and children's initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working with individuals and a strong desire to assist our community while establishing meaningful connections with program attendees, staff, and volunteers.

You should possess both a professional and compassionate demeanor when engaging with program participants to cultivate a welcoming and supportive atmosphere and capable of handling written and computer-based administrative tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping.

To excel in this position, you should have

Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage your workload effectively
Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster positive working relationships
Proficient in English (both oral and written) and numeracy skills equivalent to GCSE level
Understanding of safeguarding practices
