An excellent opportunity for a Technical Bid Writer to join a well-established, exciting and growing Lithium-ion space business. The company designs, manufacturers and qualifies batteries for international space missions on satellites, launchers, and interplanetary vehicles.

The company's customer's include both national and international space agencies like NASA and European Space Agency as well as working across the commercial market supporting missions that include Earth observation, internet of things satellite constellations and global positioning systems.

The position is based in the Culham Science Centre near Abingdon in Oxfordshire and is a job that can truly impact people across the globe.


Summary:


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate the development and submission of high-quality bid responses and commercial proposals including bid structure, content and responses, ensuring tenders are submitted on time to achieve success
Identify and make an initial assessment on potential bid opportunities

Writing of high-quality competitive tenders and proposals including:
Support storyboarding sessions
Write/edits pitch decks, presentations and other documents tailored to our clients to help close deals faster
Complete competitive bids/proposals
Complete prequalification questionnaires and expression of interest documents.
Formats and edits case studies
Proofread final documents
Guide the team in writing and proposal best practice

To manage and maintain the bid calendar and library
Supporting sales and bid processes through timely document control and filing
Work closely with the Bid Team Leader and Sales Manager to produce written material of a technical, professional, and business nature, which maintains and increases the success rate of the teams' proposals
You will analyse and research client requests, forming solutions, writing technical content, analysing the bid environment and obtain client feedback
Support case study and marketing content, supporting all sales processes
Supporting administrative tasks of bid activities and data entry
Implement and manage bid improvement activities
Manage work load to customer delivery deadlines


Qualification:

Appropriate experience or degree or equivalent level qualifications


Experience:

Experience writing for a global audience
Relevant experience in writing bids or other sales collateral for high growth organizations
Prior experience with an organization selling bespoke technical products


Skills and Competencies:

Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent editing and proofing ability
Excellent literacy skills, with an extensive vocabulary
Strong project management skills
