Job overview


We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated dietitian to join our team of 7 paediatric dietitians at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

This post will provide a service to our inpatient ward and weekly outpatient clinic. Ideally you will have some experience of paediatrics, although full training can be given.

You will be supported by the band 7 paediatric dietitians and work with other paediatric dietitians who cover a range of specialities including paediatric diabetes and neonates.


This position is ideal for dietitians with some paediatric experience who, depending on their clinical skills, could be supported from a Band 5 level to the Band 6.

Main duties of the job


The post holder will:

  • Provide the dietetic service to the 36 bedded children's ward
  • Cover a weekly general paediatric clinic
  • Be involved in the training of other health professionals
  • Contribute to the training of dietetic students
  • Be involved in audit & policy development

  • Membership of the BDA
  • Completion of postgraduate BDA paediatric modules
