Newport City Council's Regeneration and Economic Development team are looking to recruit a UK Shared Prosperity Fund Administrator, reporting to the Shared Prosperity Fund Manager to provide business support across its UK Shared Prosperity Fund programme.


The post holder will be responsible for programme administration and compliance to help oversee Newport's SPF Projects (part of the Cardiff Regional Investment Plan) reporting to the SPF Board and to the lead authority, Rhondda Cynon Taff County Borough Council.

Newport is currently undergoing one of the largest regeneration programmes in the UK. At its heart is a vision to create a revitalised and vibrant city with a strong independent identity.

Projects to date have delivered a huge transformation creating significant business opportunities and positioning the city as one of the leading centres of the Cardiff Capital Region.

This includes the £17m restoration of Chartist Tower into a 4-star hotel, the £8m redevelopment of Newport's Indoor Market and the ongoing development and delivery of a new state-of-the-art leisure centre.


This is an exciting role which will require a wide-ranging skill set and will support the successful delivery of a broad and extensive programme of activity.

Importantly, the role will involve close working with public, private and third-sector partners.

This post is offered full-time with the post holder working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.
