Property Claims Evaluator

Location:
Taunton - Remote/Hybrid


Salary:
£21,500 - £24,000 - DOE


Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9am pm, 7.5 hour a day with 1 hour lunch break.

The Role:


The role of Property Claims Evaluator is to facilitate quality during the end to end claims process ensuring that the business meets its strategic aims of quality and compliance.

Conducting claims reviews and fact finding under the direction of the seniorauditor using an in-depth knowledge of the process to establish the facts and suggest changes to normal processes.


Key Accountabilities:


  • Conduct internal claims reviews (electronic and filebased) to assess and provide independent assurance that the claim risk management, governance, and internal control processes are operating effectively throughout the end to end lifecycle of the claim.
  • Carry out all the aspects of internal case and dispute reviews in line with direction from the Senior Auditor.
  • Prepare and present reports (verbal and written) that reflect the results and findings of dispute reviews, following Company values in a professional, clear and concise manner.
  • Conduct follow up reviews and monitor remedial action.
  • Identify risks and opportunities to improve and make recommendations to help manage and control such risks and support the business's approach to continuous improvement.
  • Maintain open communication with management and auditees.
  • Conduct any reviews or tasks requested by management, provided such reviews and tasks do not compromise the independence or objectivity of the internal review function.

Required Skills:

Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports.

In depth insurance and building technical competencies.

Level of compliance and enterprise risk knowledge desirable

Excellent knowledge of insurance products and claims function.

The ability to conduct root cause analysis and act on the findings

Knowledge of FCA complaints handling regulations

Knowledge of FOS referrals

Ability to discuss claims in depth and provide detailed updates as/when required

Knowledge of the TCF principles

Knowledge of building construction
