Your new Role:
We have fantastic opportunities for Permanent mobile Caretaker/Janitor to join our Dumfries & Galloway account in
Moffat Academy Primary School, The Holm, Jeff Banks Road, Moffat, DG10 9QL.
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Dumfries and Galloway Schools Private Finance Initiative across an estate of 12 schools.

We work in partnership with our clients and end-users to ensure our 24/7 services are delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day-to-day operational requirements of the schools.
The standard hours of work are 36 Hours Per Week with possible additional overtime. (Hours to be agreed by Manager as position to cover annual leave, sickness and business needs. To be based at Moffat however will travel with company vehicle to other schools where required.)

You will be responsible for:
- Ensure smooth running of the school premises
- Carrying out daytoday DIY/maintenance and minor repairs (i.e., furniture fixtures, wall repairs)
- To ensure heating, lighting and alarm systems are working properly
- Daily responsible to check that all doors and windows are locked when the building is not in use
- Checking the premises to guard against vandalism
- Arranging chairs and tables for meetings or assemblies and clearing away afterwards
- Litter picking and general clearing of external areas
What makes this role unique:
you will be facilitating the smooth running of the premises, providing support for a safe and efficient operation whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met.
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Knowledge and previous experience in practical DIY skills for minor repair
- Good Team Player
- Flexible with shift work
- Good at developing strong working relationships with onsite client and employees
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract
