The Role:

As a Materials Coordinator on our Hull site you will work closely with suppliers and manufacturing planners to ensure tracking of invoices, Hull liabilities in terms of materials on site and at suppliers and assisting in optimal stockholding while tracking out of contract costs' and key strategic projects from a material's point of view


In this role you'll:

  • Monitor manufacturing planners via Inventory (NWC) and Service (Material availability) Key performance indicators to ensure packaging materials for production plans are ordered and delivered in time.
  • Facilitate clear handover process and communication between Manufacturing planners and inbound suppliers.
  • Track materials' related invoices with Manufacturing planners and ensure resolution, resulting in <50 overdue invoices.
  • Track and report material' liabilities at suppliers at month end closing and followup actions with Manufacturing planners to ensure aged stock is not builtup at suppliers.
  • Track supplier performance in coordination with procurement to ensure On Time in Full (OTIF) supplier conformance to orders placed.
  • Track and close stock writeoff approvals and actions based on obsolescence or business decisions.
  • Monitor safety stocks in line with inventory management policy for packaging materials' and deployed net working capital targets, ensuring appropriate actions are taken time to deliver service and inventory targets.
  • Monitor stock turnover and weeks of cover (WOC) in collaboration with material planners, flagging any discrepancies versus target stock profile

You'll succeed if you have the following skills and qualifications...

  • Prior Materials' Management experience is preferred.
  • Will be achievement focussed and able to work in a direct and often highpressure environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities.
  • Flexible to respond to changing priorities.
