Hunter masons client currently has an exciting opportunity within A family run manufacturing / construction company based in Warrington.Please note Construction Knowledge is essentail for this role.
Role Title:
Logistics Coordinator
Hours:8.30 till 5 Monday - Thursday.
Fridays
About the role:
To conduct and assist with a wide range of operational tasks including manufacture planning and control, transport and logistics, personnel, maintenance, stock control, procurement, suppliers management, H&S and quality.
Responsibilites:
- Be responsible for the planning and organisation of deliveries and transport, including:
- Plan weekly delivery schedule is conjunction with planning department and customer/site requirements.
- Assessment of load sizes and required vehicles capacity.
- Organise and liaise with drivers and hire drivers when needed.
- Monitor driver hours and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Coordinate the maintenance and inspection of transport vehicles to ensure high safety standards and compliance with regulations.
- Organise and coordinate with external transport service providers.
- Be responsible for the control and monitoring of all stock material, including: Use of Sage system to control stock. Use of excel spreadsheets to assist with the monitoring of stock levels and usages.
- Monitor stock levels and order/project requirements.
- Control of the goodsin process.
- Monitor warehouse storage usage and stock location control.
- Assist with monthend process, including stock value reports.
- Be responsible for the purchasing of stock material, including:
- Monitoring stock levels and order/project requirements.
- Raising and send purchase orders (POs).
- Monitor received order acknowledgments and update POs.
- Monitoring of open POs, ensuring required/due dates are achieved
- Assist with monthend process, including reports and invoice queries.
- Assist with supplier management, including: Monitor and record monthly LME rates.
- Coordination with existing suppliers and update purchase price lists. Monitor and update our die records.
- Assist with searching and obtaining new material supplier.
- Assist with the planning and control of the manufacturing process, including:
- Setting and monitoring of the manufacturing schedule.
- Control and completion of finished job packs and record/update stock materials used.
