Tradewind Recruitment is a leading education recruitment agency, and we are seeking to recruit a Full-time Pastoral Support Staff Member to join a long standing client in Scunthorpe.

This is a non-teaching role that will involve providing on-call support to staff, internal exclusion room duties, and general support to the pastoral team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide oncall support to staff, dealing with pupil behavior issues and incidents that arise
Manage internal exclusion room duties, supervising pupils and ensuring their wellbeing while in the room
Offer general support to the pastoral team, assisting with administrative tasks, and contributing to the smooth running of the department
Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents, promoting the school's values and ethos
Attend relevant training and meetings as required

Requirements:

Experience of working with young people, ideally in an education setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations
Organised, with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Flexibility to work oncall and attend training/meetings outside of normal working hours

This is an immediate start role and will last until the end of the academic year. The pay for this role is between £72.50 and £80 per day, depending on experience.
