Grounds Team Member (Part Time)

- working individual to join our friendly team as a Grounds team member.

The school is set in 50 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 3 to 18.

The School has a long tradition of sports excellence, and prides itself on the standard of its facilities and the presentation of the school grounds.

Reporting in to the Head of Grounds, the Grounds team ensure that the school grounds are maintained to the highest standard, including pitches (natural and artificial), gardens, woodlands and other facilities, boundaries and areas of the campus.

You will be responsible for undertaking maintenance duties for grounds facilities and common areas, general gardening duties and driving vehicles and operating equipment as required for grounds' maintenance work.

You should have previous experience in a similar environment, be fit and capable of heavy work and able to work outdoors in all weathers.

Although training will be provided, it is preferred if you have formal training in grounds work or gardening. Qualifications in chemical spraying would also be advantageous and a full clean driving licence is essential.

Hours of work are 7.30am until 12.30pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, in exchange for a salary of £8,900 per annum.
