Description

The post holder will provide effective assurance performance reporting to both internal and external stakeholders, this will include flagging areas of recognition or concern ensuring that there is a robust process of validation and reporting in line with defined and agreed timescales.


The postholder will provide performance support to colleagues across operational and corporate services to maintain compliance with achievement of all key targets whether externally or internally set.


The post holder is required to use a range of descriptive and analytical statistical techniques, including the use of formulae in excel spreadsheets several times a month.

There will also be a requirement to influence managers and clinicians using narrative and graphic tools that explain the data and its consequences.


The post holder will be expected to effectively and openly engage and exchange information on their work with other colleagues in the Contracts Performance and CQUIN Team to promote joined up work and sharing of best practice.

The post holder will
- lead for their area of responsibility in the development and delivery of a suite of timely and accurate performance reports for all levels of the organisation as directed by the Performance Manager. This includes working directly with managers and clinicians to ensure processes are in place to ensure appropriate methods of data capture and information reporting.
- present performance information appropriate to the intended audience and proactively support the delivery of targets through targeted action planning and development of improvement trajectories.
- be expected to highlight any variances in performance and bring high risk performance issues to the attention of the Performance Manager. Collating data from a variety of sources and will involve direct communication and liaison with managers and clinicians at all levels of the Trust.
- have an awareness of the targets and standards set and the way in which they are measured and will escalate as appropriate.
- where appropriate will ensure external mandatory performance returns represent an accurate reflection of performance and meet timescales imposed, analysing, and interpreting the information where necessary.
- support on any routine or non-routine reporting requirements that are delegated by the Performance Manager.
- undertake any other duties or responsibilities commensurate with the grade, role and responsibilities attached to this post.
