**School Governor - Finance (Voluntary)
**We are seeking a qualified accountant to join our school Governing Board as soon as possible.

You will support the Governing Board in holding the Strategic Leadership Team to account in
relation to school finance (annual budget currently about £12M) as well as contributing to
remuneration decisions and wider school governance matters.

The commitment is six evening meetings a year (termly) and ad-hoc finance and Pay Panel
meetings. Attendance in person is preferred, however, occasional online attendance can be
accommodated.

School Governors play a vital role in education. They are accountable for the vision, ethos and
strategic direction of the school, for holding the Headteacher to account and for overseeing the
school's financial performance. By volunteering as a School Governor, you can make a difference
to the lives of children and young people.
