This Behaviour Pastoral Assistant role is starting as soon as possible and will continue until at least July

YOU MUST HAVE A DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE - DUE TO THE URGENT NATURE OF THE APPOINTMENT THIS IS IMPERATIVE

YOU MUST BE FREE FOR WORK MON - FRI 8:30 - 3:30 UNTIL JULY.

PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN PERMANENT EMPLOYMENT, THE SCHOOL ARE UNABLE TO WAIT FOR NOTICE PERIODS ETC TO BE COMPLETED

YOU MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH 11-16 YEAR OLDS IN EITHER A SECONDARY/SEN SCHOOL

The school for this Behavioural Pastoral Assistant role:
mainstream secondary academy

The academy is currently under new management and is placing great emphasis on pastoral and behavioural support

An improving academy with staff passionate about going the extra miles for students

The academy opened in 2016 and has a 38.1% of Pupil Premium students

Currently operating with 1350 students, operating under its 1500 capacity

The duties of this Behavioural Pastoral assistant role include:
Carry out duties on the school corridors

Liaising with external agencies - CAMHS, Healthy Young Minds, Youth offending

Contributing to meetings with students and parents to support outcomes for vulnerable young people

Checking for internal truancy

Escorting pupils to classrooms

Responding classroom support

,De-escalating disruptive behaviour,

escorting pupils to exclusion rooms.

Carry out relevant break and lunch duty.

Salary:
£80.00-£110.00 per day


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Oldham: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
