A UKAS-accredited chemical manufacturing business is looking to appoint a Production Manager into its team in Reading.

They are looking for a highly organised, experienced chemist with H&S experience to support the running of the factory whilst leading engineeringand chemical projects in alignment with budgets and timescales.

To be considered you should hold a degree in either chemistry or chemical engineering and possess experience in the development and scale-up of new products.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daytoday running of the factory & production whilst managing factory supervisors.
Optimise production by creatively analysing processes.
Devise and implement new processes & technology including automation.
Oversee factory maintenance within budget & given timelines.
Be responsible for ensuring that all Health and Safety measures are carried out appropriately.
Liaise with HSE and the EA when required.
Administer the scaleup from laboratory to industrialsized processes and streamline production.

Key Requirements:

Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering.
Experience working as a team to cost and help implement engineering projects.
Experience in researching, developing, and scaling up new products.
Experience in largescale batch production.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Oversee projects within budget and given deadlines.
Strong effective communicator with the ability to challenge existing processes & new ideas at all levels.

Salary:
£35, 000 - £40,000
