The post is working a mixture of day and evening shifts some weekend working is required.

Purpose of post
To contribute to the smooth running of the Radiology Department and to
work closely with all staff, in particular Radiographers and
Radiologists to provide a high standard of patient care. To meet the
requirements of the Health and Safety at Work Act (1974), the Control of
Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations, the Data Protection
Act and the Ionising Radiation Regulations and Ionising
Radiation (Medical Exposure) Regulations (2000), and any subsequent
legislation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
KEY RESULT AREAS
- Providing support to Radiographers and Radiologists performing
referred to the Radiology department.
- Explaining to patients the preparatory requirements for the
contrast media.
- To undertake the care and reassurance of patients undergoing
- Attending to patients needs, including chaperone duties, manual
- To perform intravenous cannulation in line with Trust and
- Preparation of contrast agents for radiological examinations as and
- Observing patient confidentiality at all times.
- To undertake the transfer of mobile xray equipment and accessories
