Acacia Groundcare is a specialist supplier of an extensive range of groundcare machinery for short or long-term hire from our Henfield business in Sussex, serving London and the South-east.

We are also the owners of MowersUK, a retail store in Hampshire, selling garden machinery from top brand manufacturers such as Stihl, Honda, Hayter and many more.

As a growing company that has built its reputation on excellent customer service and attention to detail, and as we develop our MowersUK online business, it is an exciting time to join


The Role
The Marketing Assistant role is new and has the potential to develop.

Responsible for assisting in raising the digital presence of the MowersUK store and managing the Acacia website, you will be proactive and willing to learn on the job.

This this will enable you to develop skills such as marketing strategy, campaign management and graphic design You will be reporting directly to the Marketing Manager who will oversee your development.

Pattern of days/hours to be agreed. Competitive salary depending on experience.


Key responsibilities:


  • Manage the MowersUK company social profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and creating monthly performance reports
  • Graphic design: creating engaging print and digital assets for use in online campaigns and press adverts
  • Use our CMS (Content Management System) to maintain and update the Acacia website
  • Managing the local advertising for both businesses
  • Competitor research and monitoring as needed
  • Envisage and bring forward new marketing ideas that could benefit the business
  • Admin duties: various regular office tasks including filing, gathering reviews, booking couriers when needed, etc

About You
Ideally will have some knowledge or experience of marketing.

  • Experience of managing social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva or similar with design experience
  • Some experience with MailChimp or similar CRM system
  • Some experience of working with websites (ideally WordPress or WooCommerce)
  • Strong administration skills with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Numerate and computer literate, proficient with Microsoft suite (including Excel spreadsheets)
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work and keen to learn new skills
  • Own transport is needed due to the rural location of the office
