Insight Executive Group are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading NHS trust in North London who are looking to recruit an interim Contract Manager looking at their Hard FM contracts/provision.


The position is a temp to perm role and the daily rate on the interim is up to £220 per day.


The Contract Manager will be an integral part of the facilities management team and assist the Head of Facilities Management Contracts in the management of the trust contracts and will work closely with key stakeholders to develop and manage the estatesand facilities contracts.


The successful Contract Manager will be responsible for:

  • management of the day-to-day commercial services contracts across all Trust sites.
- overseeing the day-to-day commercial contracts across all sites
- being the point of contact for all commercial related queries and issues, being accessible to service users (staff and patients) and contractors across several sites and responsible for resolving any service issues at a senior level
- analysing and interpret highly complex and diverse information on the performance of contracts, particularly identifying reasons for any deviations from plan
- monitoring contracts and budgets for commissioned services, ensuring external organisations provide relevant information such as activity plans and profiles, finance, and quality targets to authorise payments for any over/under performance and feed backto finance and commissioners responsible for the budgets on a regular basis
- providing forecasts of the likely expenditure on contracts, identifying options for management action where costs are likely to exceed budget. This will need to be explicit on the impact these options may have on the achievement of other service targetsthe commissioners have to meet

The successful Contract Manager will be able to demonstrate:

  • experience of Estates and/or Facilities Management
- at least 2 years relevant specialist experience of NHS or local authority service agreements/ contracting processes; or managing services in the NHS sufficient to have gained a thorough knowledge of these aspects of NHS management activities
- experience of service improvement and evidence of success in securing favourable outcomes through successful negotiation
- experience of creating and presenting reports to Exec and Board level & confident in ability to present to groups.
- experience working with contractors and managing contracts
