The Role
Development, planning and implementation of the induction and other training strategies.

As Regional L&D Facilitator, you'll showcase and promote best practice, lead by example while coaching and supporting the team to do likewise and give constructive feedback in a supportive environment.


Duties Include

  • Create and build training packages that encapsulate relevant strategies, business needs, direction and incentives. Ensuring the message is delivered throughout the training package
  • Inducting new staff across our sites, being present and ensuring induction learning is delivered and understood; providing regional staff guidance on how to successfully continue the onboarding process
  • Delivery of manual handling, care training, systems training, safe use of equipment, fire safety, first aid (ideally) and other required training within our business
  • Adapt and develop training to meet the needs of the residents and staff in each respective home/area
  • Working with People Services Team and Quality & Operations team to understand which training is required, and where
  • Roll out inspiring and creative training packages that inform staff of best practice and how to achieve
  • Review and monitor the quality assurance processes and systems and collate data with regards to training progress, reporting regularly to management
  • Relate training and development plans to Health and Social Care Standards and expectations for our residents

Skills, Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Genuine interest in, and experience of facilitating training and staff development within a team environment
  • Ability to adapt to meet the needs of the home, staff team and/or resident group
  • Ensuring that attendance registers are signed and passed to administration colleagues in order to accurately record training on the employee's personnel files.
  • Ensuring that feedback forms are completed by all delegates at the end of the course and reviewed to ensure successful learning, and acknowledge any suggestions made
  • Performance driven with the ability to work to various targets including performance and quality measures
  • Organised and selfmotivated with experience of working autonomously to deliver presentations to various audiences
  • Able to give feedback (positive and constructive) to achieve behavioural change
  • Satisfactory Police Check and check against the PVG List
  • Relevant certification and suitable level of experience
  • Previous experience in delivery of induction and onboarding training content (highly desirable)
  • Assessor qualification (desirable)
  • Current and valid UK drivers licence and access to a vehicle
  • Previous experience in a training and development role within a care setting environment (desirable)
