An opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging (CMR) to join the Royal Brompton Hospital for one year.

The postholder woll have the opportunity for training and experience in all aspects of paediatric CMR, with exposure to hundreds of wide ranging congenital and non-congenital CMR scans over the course of the year.

They will attend a three-month training course in CMR, following which they will actively participate in the delivery of the paediatric CMR service.

This includes attendance at paediatric CMR scans, working with the radiography team, cannulating paediatric patients and writing preliminary reports. The postholder will benefit from feedback and teaching from the consultant team throughout.

Please note that this post is only available to those with GMC registration and a minimum of three years' training in paediatric cardiology.

The Clinical Fellow in Paediatric CMRis primarily based in the CMR unit at the Royal Brompton Hospital. For the first three months of the 12-month contract, the Fellow will undertake a course in CMR.

Once complete, they will gradually begin to undertake the reporting of paediatric congenital and non-congenital CMR scans under the supervision of the paediatric CMR consultant and support the organisation of general anaesthetic scans.

Completion of a 3month course in CMR, including daily lectures
Attendance at daily interactive reporting sessions
Reporting paediatric congenital and noncongenital scans under the supervision of the paediatric CMR consultant, once sufficiently trained
Supporting the organisation of CMR scans to be performed under general anaesthetic, once sufficiently trained
Contributing to audit and research projects in CMR
