Ready to start you career within finance in a high growth, progressive business? Based in Nottingham, we are looking for Purchase Ledger Assistants to work in our growing Finance department.

You will be responsible for a broad spectrum of activities ranging from general finance and accounting administration, processing purchase invoices, accounting system and spreadsheet work, assisting with reconciliations, resolving queries, credit card and statement recs.


The role would suit people keen to advance their career within finance, potentially by moving into finance from other administration roles, or looking for opportunities fresh from college or University.

You will learn how a finance department functions, and have the ability to expand your role as the Group continues to grow.


A training package is available for those who would like to progress towards a formal accounting qualification and to develop further into the accounting profession.

What We Need from Yü*Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:
  • Processing purchase invoices, which would include matching, checking and coding invoices
  • Analysis work, including the use of spreadsheets
  • Assisting with reconciliations to support the monthly management accounting activities, and to ensure that the money leaving our bank account matches the invoices received.
  • Resolving various queries with suppliers related to payments
  • Credit card and statement reconciliations, ensuring that the transactions made with credit cards match the transactions that show up on the general ledger.
  • Other Ad Hoc finance admin tasks
  • Builds strong relationship with other teams across the business.

  • Experienced Finance team experience is preferable but not essential as full training will be given. For the right individual, we will support you in obtaining a recognised accountancy qualification
