As the demand for our expertise continues to grow, we now have an exciting opportunity for a CDM Advisor to join our significantly experienced and talented Health & Safety team in the Bristol Office.

Our projects include large industrial and commercial schemes, with contract values over £30 million, to smaller schemes and working for interesting clients including motor manufacturers, schools/universities, healthcare providers, contractors, developers, etc.


Role and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring projects comply with CDM 2015, making use of our policies and standard processes.
  • Acting as CDM Advisor to Clients
  • Assisting the Client in discharging their duties and enacting positive H&S management
  • Producing F10 documentation for HSE
  • Attending design team meetings, reviewing designs and design strategies and advising on legislation
  • Producing and managing Design Risk Registers
  • Collating Pre-Construction Information and producing summary information to share with the project team
  • Engaging with and supporting the design team, leading in design risk management and workshops
  • Attending construction sites for meetings and undertaking inspections, identifying risks and reporting to the Client
  • Engaging with the Principal Contractor to drive positive safety management
  • Actively reviewing project and Client information
  • Providing written reports to the Client and team
  • Carrying out accident investigations and produce H&S policy and procedure documents.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety
  • Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
  • Member of the Association of Project Safety (IMaPS / CMaPS) (optional)
  • Professional qualification in designing or building surveying discipline
  • Desirable
  • Ability to manage own time effectively, prioritise workload and ability to lead own projects
  • Excellent knowledge of CDM Regulations and Principals of Prevention in Design.
