Position Expectation:
This holder of this position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of computer-controlled welding robots to perform one or more machine functions on steel products.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Keep the department clean and tidy.
- Follow company procedures as laid down in the staff handbook.
- Work to the company 6s system.
- Do tasks as instructed by senior operators or team leader
- Assist other operators.
- Enter data into Mie Trak.
- Set up jigs and fixtures under supervision.
- Keep jigs and fixtures in a healthy state.
- Operate Robots with mínimal supervision.
- Once trained
- Load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size.
- Measure dimensions of the finished product to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
- Set up future jobs while robot is operating.
- Must be willing to work extended hours or shifts as requested
- Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the Team Leader.
- Facilitate workorder paper flow in accordance with company procedure.
- Responsible for the safe and proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the correct location.
- Ensure all equipment is correctly setup and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
- Performs first piece dimensional inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by AET quality standards.
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
- Other jobrelated duties as may be necessary to carry out the responsibilities of this position.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
- Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures.
Working Conditions:
This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. The relevant safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the robotic welding department. This will require the compulsory wearing of hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.
This is a physical role with a requirement for occasional bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and pushing up to 20kgs.
Pay:
£14.71-£154.45 per hour
