The CogX Festival, now in its seventh year, is looking for a talented Festival Event Executive to join our Festival Operations Team.
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic sector-leading Operations team and a community of the most inclusive and forward-thinking leaders, CEOs, tech entrepreneurs, scientists, policy makers, artists, and activists in the world.
Reporting to the Festival Operations Director, the Festival Event Executive is responsible for supporting the team with the delivery of the 2023 CogX Festival and will need to be someone who thrives working in a busy and demanding environment.
This role is primarily an event operations role and requires onsite and production experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Support Festival Operations Director and Event Manager with various daytoday tasks and longterm operational planning and delivery of CogX Festival 202
- Manage ordering and distribution of sitewide signage (expo, stages & directional)
- Support organisation of registration staffing and ontheday management
- Support with organising operational staffing, such as cleaning, security, traffic management
- Support Event Manager with CogX 2023 Awards production and logistics
- Support Expo Manager where necessary
- On the day event management, overseeing one of the key venues for the Operations team
- Support with Festival build and derig efficiently through to completion
- Ensuring that our attendees have a safe and pleasant experience while attending our Festival
- Report safety hazards, event debrief notes and all concerns to the Festival Operations Director and Event Manager
- To source and procure event related items, when necessary
- Liaising with venues and crew onsite
- Post event reconciliation, reporting and archiving of event collateral
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
Skills and Experience
- Previous event experience in an operations role
- Previous experience with large scale events (5,000+ attendees)
- Previous experience liaising with production agencies
- Detailoriented with strong organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and new opportunities
- Awareness of health and safety issues and risk assessments
- Good working knowledge of and ability to update project documentation, including contact sheet and onsite schedule
- Knowledge of Google Drive
Notes
- Fixed term contract until end of September 202 4 days a week in Bond Street office (if London based)
- Weekend and late night work around Festival dates
