**Research Communications and Web Officer
**UE06 £31,396 to £36,024 per annum, pro rata (A revised salary range for this grade of £32,982 to £38,205 is planned to take effect from Spring 2024)
**Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society / Usher Institute / Molecular, Genetic and Population Health Sciences
**Part Time - 21 Hours Per Week
**Contract Type - Fixed Term available from now to 31 March 2025
**Location: Usher Institute moves to a new building in Edinburgh Bioquarter, early 2024

The Centre for Biomedicine, Self and Society at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Research Communications and Web Officer to create engaging content to help the Centre promote our research, and engage with our internal and external audiences.


The Opportunity:


You will provide research and other relevant communications across the Centre, develop and maintain our website and provide related administrative and event support to the Centre.

This includes researching and writing high-quality web or social media content, engaging with Centre members to improve content, accessibility and governance of the Centre's website, contribute or lead on the production of alternative communications formats such as podcasts or videos and support the delivery of internal and external events.


Your skills and attributes for success:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Understanding of principles of creating accessible digital content.
  • Strong skills and experience in writing for the web.
  • Excellent organisational skills
