We have a fantastic opportunity for and People and Reporting Administrator to join our team based in Ferndown, Dorset.
This is maternity cover for a 12-month period, on a fixed term contract basis.


As People & Reporting Administrator, you will act as the first point of contact for People related queries, representing the wider team by delivering operational excellence across our people administration processes.

You will be responsible for providing people data to support the production of management information and reports to support business decisions, as well as lead in the development of our people systems.

Ultimately, you will act as a champion for the colleague experience, ensuring our colleagues are dealt with professionally and contribute to the People team being positively valued by internal colleagues and external stakeholders.

The Opportunity:


As People & Reporting Administrator you will:

  • Be responsible for people administration including ensuring accurate recording and updating of colleague information on My Hendy (HR System).
  • Process starter, leaver and mover requests; issue contracts and associated documents to new colleagues; and support managers with all required correspondence regarding change of contract letters, leaver confirmation letters, etc.
  • Ensure all referencing of new starters is completed (referring any concerns to the People Business Partners) and respond to all reference requests received by the department.
  • Track and ensure there are no outstanding documents from colleagues and managers, e.g. onboarding documentation, completed life insurance beneficiary forms, etc.
  • Keep all current and former colleague personnel files ordered and up to date in line with GDPR regulations.
  • Manage colleague benefit information and changes, liaising with Payroll and benefit providers (such as healthcare, life insurance and pension providers).
  • Update policies and processes as required.
  • Support the People Team by undertaking leaver discussions with our colleagues reporting any concerns to the team.
  • Participate in Groupwide projects that support the design and implementation of our people management framework.
  • Own the design and development of People reports, metrics and insights
  • Analyse and reconcile monthly data reports using information from My Hendy (HR system).
  • Provide people data for key reporting requirements.
  • Partner closely with the People Team to assist in key employment issues.
  • Develop the best approach for data analysis and turn data into actionable insights.
  • Use intermediary excel skills to aid reporting requirements.

About You:


  • Demonstrable administration experience within a People / HR environment would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Handson experience dealing with high volume colleague onboarding and preemployment checks, including referencing.
  • Organised and methodical in approach, with the ability to manage your time effectively to prioritise your workload, being adaptable and capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
  • Effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and relationshipbuilding skills in order to interact with colleagues and third parties professionally and confidently across a range of mediums (face to face, phone, virtual meetings);
  • Desire to collaborate and work as part of a team, as well as having the confidence to take initiative, offering fresh solutions and recommendations.
  • A good practical understanding of Microsoft Teams, Outlook and Office.
  • Keen eye for detail, with the ability to accurately retrieve and collate data and interpret information.
  • Selfmotivated and energetic, with an infectious enthusiasm for your role and what you do.
