Main Responsibilities

Training


We don't expect you to know everything when you join Gray Healthcare We provide an initial week of training which is a combination of online training (company induction, systems, meds etc.) followed by in-person training on PROACT-SCIPr-UK which is a PBS approach to least restrictive practice, a therapeutic and proven alternative to restraint-dominant approaches.

You will then complete the person-centred training, specific to the person that you are supporting. This could be PBS, epilepsy, ligature etc. and finally, you'll complete shadow shifts.


Training continues throughout your time with Gray Healthcare and we encourage you to develop and grow your career with us.

Shifts run from 08.00am till 20.00pm. Sleep in's run from 20.00pm to 08.00am. Sleep in's are paid at a set rate of £100.


About you

  • We are looking for people who have worked in social care previously, ideally with autism and learning disabilities experience.
  • You must have current Right to Work in the UK and have 6 month's Healthcare Experience within in the United Kingdom.
    We no longer have any certificates of sponsorship available.

Job Introduction

Gray Healthcare are looking for a male support workers to support a gentlemen in his 60's on a 1:1 to basis within his own home in Winterton, Lincoln.

The person we support has a diagnosis of autistic spectrum conditions and moderate learning disability.


The gentleman we support likes to access the community at times, and likes to visit local towns or Hull City.


It is very important to the person we support that his staff team support him to complete everyday activities and give positive prompts.


The person we support has certain routines he wishes to follow, so the staff team would need to respect his routines at all times.
