Rutherford Cross is supporting a highly successful, family-owned multifaceted business to recruit for a Credit Controller.

This is a newly created role and will present opportunities for growth and development as well as autonomy over the Credit Control process.

The role will be office based in East Kilbride.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Highvalue, lowvolume environment requires keen planning of an approach to optimise the payment process
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive approach to invoicing ensuring the best chance of success
  • Collection of funds on customer invoices
  • Autonomy over creation, delivery and execution of plans to improve debtor days
  • Escalation of issues to relevant parties and followup communications to resolve
  • Adhoc duties to support the wider finance team
  • Demonstrable history of recovering debt
  • Driven and selfmotivated
  • Purchase ledger experience an advantage
  • Strong communication skills with ability to build rapport quickly
  • Good understanding of operating finance systems
  • Upholds a high level of customer service
