A unique opportunity to join an ever-growing team in a well established and respected Public Practice firm.

**Financial Reporting Assistant

  • About The Role*
  • As a member of the Business services and Outsourcing team, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients. You will act as the clients own internal accountant.
  • Your main responsibility will be the preparation of management accounts for a variety of businesses, using varied software depending on what the clients use.
  • Other responsibilities will be the running of the whole accounting function for your clients, this includes but is not limited to, preparation of the year end accounts file along with a draft tax computation. Reconciling and processing VAT returns. Dealingwith the clients' inbox and handling any queries as they arise. Balance sheet postings and reconciliations, such as accruals, prepayments and fixed assets. Credit control, you will also be responsible for processing both purchase and sale ledger invoices amongother adhoc activities.
  • This is a client facing role where you will be required to maintain and build strong and professional working relationships.

The successful Financial Reporting Assistant will have:

  • Strong knowledge of Xero is essential
  • Strong knowledge of Excel
  • AAT preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of VAT rules on what can and can not be claimed on a VAT return.
  • Must be Tech savvy with a strong ability to pick up new software quickly.
  • Experience in public practice is preferred but not essential.
