  • Right to work in the UK is required and a full and clean UK driving licence is preferred.
  • Contracted hours per week: 37.5 Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm but may change depending on season.
  • Annual salary: £25,000 to £30,000. Dependent upon experience,
  • Benefits include laptop and work phone.
  • 20 days holiday, plus bank holidays.

As well as producing over 30 million flyers a year, we print posters, tickets, banners, stationery, magazines, brochures, and anything else you may need.

We also offer distribution services with a comprehensive regional and national distribution network of clubs, bars, shops, cafes and street teams in place, if you have a product to showcase, or an event to promote, we can make sure the message gets across.


As officially approved contractors to City of Edinburgh Council, we work with businesses and organisations of all sizes across Scotland and have built a good reputation for providing high quality, cost effective and reliable services catering for the events and leisure sector.


General:


We are looking for a reliable and resourceful Operations Manager who has experience managing small teams and working with small format and digital print machinery.


As Operations Manager your role be flexible and with support of head office encompasses general duties including budget and finance management, HR and payroll activity, large format production and digital printing support, where necessary.


Management responsibilities:


  • Manage and oversee the Edinburgh Office operation, working closely with the Distribution & Office Supervisor
  • Key holder and out of hours emergency contact
  • Answer the phone and ensure all communications are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide quotes to customers and close sales for both print and design.
  • Chase payments from all orders as required, following the financial policies.
  • Process card payments when required and other customer payments as per standard operation procedures.
  • Send daily credit card payments and associated reports to Head Office.
  • Manage and run the onsite digital and large format production facility.
  • Manage and ensure Petty Cash is controlled correctly with all associated paperwork to include receipts and ledger of cash movement.
  • Track print coming from Bristol/Printco and marry up with the sales order from OOH Scotland.
  • Delegate driving tasks to ensure all items to be delivered by our drivers.
  • Contact staff to inform of items available to be collected or picked up.
  • Manage report creation, typing and filing as requested by OOH Bristol and Board of Directors.
  • Keeping a record and track of all holidays and sick days and carrying out return to work interviews when required.
  • Managing all stock levels to include; branded stationary; generic office stationery (note pads, printer cartridges, stamps etc.); cleaning products; tea and coffee products.
  • Liaise with contractors to include ScotWaste, Redline and EE.
  • Collect mail and deal with as required.
  • Drive in sales and generate new business, working within the budgets set and using the personal targets set.
  • Oversee office procedures and help maintain the required standard operating procedures and their implementation.
  • Data entry to out bespoke Operating System and Exchequer Accountancy system.
  • Print/send Proformas sales orders and dispatch notes.
  • Liaise with other staff to ensure the smooth running of each department and company as a whole.
  • Maintain all areas of the business in an organised and efficient manner complying with health and safety.
  • Ensure all activity is compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
  • Positively promote Out of Hand Scotland services to all outside parties
  • Participate in the generation of ideas to the benefit of Out of Hand Scotland.
  • Any other reasonable task required to ensure the success of Out of Hand Scotland.

Salary:
£25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
