ABOUT ERSOU
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Digital Forensic Examiner within the Regional Cyber Crime Unit (RCCU).

ERSOU RCCU conduct proactive and reactive investigations into serious and complex cyber-crime criminality, which could include both cyber enabled or cyber dependent criminality with significant regional or national impact and/or linked to organised crime as tasked nationally.

The Digital Forensic Examiner is key to the investigations, working as the expert in dealing with the digital evidence.

This role in line with ISO17025 will provide the expert digital evidence required and key for cyber-crime investigations and will involve working with the relevant Detectives to identify and present the relevant evidence as well as attend crime scenes and warrants as required across the region and occasionally nationally.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Digital Forensic Examiners, you will be key to investigations, helping to forensically secure and critically analyse data from a range of digital sources to assist in ongoing investigations.

Within the role you will also at times be required to assist in the onsite securing of digital evidence. The RCCU operate to ISO17025 standards and applicants will be required to work within the ISO17025 framework and guidelines.


Personal Qualities & Attributes:


As a Digital Forensic Examiners, you will be expected to be able to work both autonomously and as part of a wider team.

The successful applicant should have good analytic skills and be a confident problem solver. Working to deadlines and managing workloads is essential to being successful within role.


Hours of work:

This is a permanent role based in a Hertfordshire office.

As Bedfordshire Police are the lead Force for ERSOU the successful applicant would be employed by Bedfordshire Police on grade SO1 to PO2 (please refer to pay scale tier within the attached role profile).

Normal working hours will be Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.


Travel commitment:

This is a permanent role based in a Hertfordshire office.
