Job summary:


This role is Based at RAF Leeming working for the Air Capability area that is responsible for the planning, delivery and through-life support of future aircraft platforms and other associated equipment and capabilities.

The successful applicant will become a key part of a programme delivering Counter Small Unmanned Air Systems, which is a high visibility and fast-moving area.


The PMO is a programme's process, analysis, information, and coordination Hub, supporting colleagues and providing specialist programme management advice and guidance to the Programme Manager and/or Programme Director, thus supporting their ability to focus on strategic issues and decision making.

This position is advertised at 37 hours per week.


Job description:


  • The role of the SYNERGIA/SOTERIA Programme Management Officer (PMO) is to provide programme management expertise to the Senior Responsible Owner (SRO), Programme Director and Programme Manager (PgM). This involves the implementation and management of supporting processes, governance, and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) compliant artefacts as defined in the Air Command Programme Management Control Framework (PMCF). It also involves routine engagement and advice to programme stakeholders, and the generation of programme reports and returns.

In broad terms you will be responsible for the following:

Risk, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies and Opportunity management (RAIDO).

On behalf of the PgM manage the programmes approach to Risks, Assumptions, Issues. Dependencies Opportunities.


Benefits

On behalf of the PgM manage the C-UAS Pg Benefits.


Stakeholder engagement and communications.

On behalf of the SRO, PgD and PgM, manage and coordinate major stakeholder engagement activities.


Schedule.

On behalf of the PgM create, develop, and manage the Integrated Master Schedule.


Monitoring and control.


On behalf of the PgM assure the performance of programme and project delivery teams against the criteria in the Monitoring and Control Strategy.


Programme reporting and governance.


Working with the PgM, collate programme management information and coordinate stakeholder returns to enable the production of regular programme reports.

Also, provide secretarial support to major programme governance meetings at 1 star level.


Assurance Reviews.
Provide advice and guidance to the PgM in the principles and processes of running the OGC Gateway Reviews.

Be responsible for the preparation and management of running the Gateway Review as-and-when required by the Infrastructure Projects Authority (IPA) and the Defence Portfolio & Approvals Secretariat (DPAS).


Air & Land Safety.


You will be are to read and understand the Air Cap Air Safety Management Plan (ASMP) on an annual basis and understand the Land System Safety Regulations that C-UAS must adhere to.

Furthermore, you should keep abreast of any Safety risks and issues by regularly reading the associated Notice Boards and Sharepoint sites.


Associated Activities.***In support of the activities outlined above you will be required to maintain good working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including the Portfolio, Programme and Project Management (P3M) Centre of Excellence, the Business Change Team(s), and the DE&S Project Team.
