Part Time 22.5 hours per week


This is a pivotal role and is required to support the multidisciplinary team and coordinator the pathway for Bariatric patients.

You will be key to ensuring relevant pathway targets are met by proactively managing the patient pathway to ensure that patients receive their treatment in a timely and efficient way.

This will involve liaising with clinical and administrative teams, both within the Trust and tertiary centres.


In addition, you will provide administrative support at Bariatric multi-disciplinary team meetings and ensure all data requirements are collected and inputted onto the relevant database.

Interviews TBC

  • Ensure regular attendance at MDT meetings
  • Ensure weekly MDT meetings are fully prepared, ensuring patients notes and relevant investigation reports are made available, and any actions recommended at the MDT meeting are followed up
  • Ensure the outcomes of the MDT meetings are recorded accurately and placed in patient notes
  • Collection and interpretation of patient's information from notes and MDTs in order to complete data
  • Maintain the local tracking system to monitor patient's pathway against the RTT 18week pathway
  • To use various software programmes to produce reports, statistical data, create and maintain spreadsheets to a high standard
  • To answer the telephone promptly and politely, telephoning patients where appropriate using tact, discretion and empathy in all situations
  • Undertake audit work as required, local and National
  • Take action to obtain or correct missing or contradictory data while maintaining confidentiality
  • To liaise with members of staff at all levels eg. Consultants and other health professionals. In addition, you may be required to liaise with other outside agencies
  • Tracking of patients and checking that all investigations are underway
  • To assist in the maintenance of outcome monitoring databases and operational processes
  • Undertake any other duties deemed relevant to the post and grade
