The Opportunity


We are seeking a senior/principal water civil engineer/consultant to help guide and support on a diverse range of projects working for clients such as Natural Resources Wales, Environment Agency and Local Authorities.

We are looking for a colleague who is passionate about people, technical excellence and providing an outstanding service to our clients.

You will be an active, collaborative member of our Rivers and Coasts team in the West, ideally located in Cardiff, Bristol or Winchester.

You will technically empower colleagues to deliver projects allowing you the opportunity to learn and grow your career as well as acting in supported of our team.

With secured frameworks, we have a strong forward pipeline of opportunities with clients who share our passion for shaping a better world including the Environment Agency, Natural Resources Wales and Local Authorities.

We're looking for the following qualifications, attributes and skills:


  • A relevant degree and Chartered Engineer status.
  • Experience of successfully leading teams and managing projects to ensure production of deliverables to agreed timelines and budgets
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering high quality civil engineering solutions in flood and coastal flood risk management
  • A desire and ability to build and maintain strong, longterm relationships within Arup and with our clients.
  • A creative approach to problem solving with a focus on continual improvement and delivering sustainable and value led project outcomes.
