I am currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager/Financial Controller to join a unique and diverse organisation based in Conwy county and commutable from Colwyn Bay, Conwy, Llandudno and the Conwy Valley.

As number 1 in finance on site you willreport to the Business Manager and play an integral part in the day to day running of the organisation.


Duties:


  • Overall management of accounting activities for the organisation including accounts payable function, payroll function, monthly closing of accounts and preparation of reports in support of the financial statements
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts and management reports
  • Manage the preparation of the budgets of the business and various related entities
  • Forecast cash flow positions, related borrowing needs and transferring funds including periodic reforecasting throughout the year to ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational requirements
  • Manage capital budgeting process, based on constraint analysis and discounted cash flow analysis
  • Report to management on variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
  • Prepare summary feedback of financial statements and variances to budget
  • Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
  • Assist with the compilation of information for the preparation of tax returns
  • Interacting at all levels with budget "owners" or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate monthend close and all internal management and financial information
  • Maintain banking relationships
  • Review all internal controls, policies and procedures, making recommendations for any changes and continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a previous similar role
  • Formal accounting qualifications including CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT will be considered or Qualified by Experience
  • Collaborative approach
  • Driven, selfmotivated and technically strong
