Senior Procurement and Contracts Specialist IT

The Opportunity


As our Senior Procurement and Contracts Specialist in IT you'll be at the forefront of maximising value for EDF in the UK through strategic supply chain management of third-party goods and services.


You'll not only play a key role in the development and management of commercial contracts will also be instrumental in supporting pre-contract procurement activities.


Collaboration is at the heart of this position, and you'll work closely with Supply Chain colleagues to ensure consistency and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing
Create a dynamic pipeline of work, identifying requirements and craft Supply Chain strategy that aligns with our business objectives.

You'll drive this strategy forwards collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders across EDF to uncover synergies and achieve optimal value.


Manage your portfolio of suppliers, contracts and projects using your expertise to keep EDF at the forefront of contract negotiations and delivery.

You'll lead the way in ongoing contract management, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and generating measurable savings for EDF. Develop a robust third-party supplier base that aligns with our size and complexity effectively mitigating supplier risks.


Ensure alignment to health, safety, environment, and quality standards, you'll play a vital role in managing relationships with suppliers and contractors.

The challenges you may tackle will including understanding and mitigating risks, delivering goods and services within budget, and managing expectations effectively.

You'll support in the ongoing review of Supply Chain practices and procedures including ad-hoc work to meet evolving demands.


Who you are


You'll be a passionate and dynamic passionate procurement professional confident in your ability to provide support, challenge, and advise on strategic decisions related to crucial third-party providers, aligning with EDFs ambitions.


Your track record should include successfully awarding and developing contracts, coupled with a solid grasp of contract and commercial law.

Proficiency in contract management, providing commercial solutions, and Supplier Relationship Management is a must.

You'll thrive in an agile and flexible environment and be used to working with cross-functional teams whilst developing innovations and implementing your ideas

Demonstrate your project expertise by getting involved in and leading strategic projects. Manage procurement processes seamlessly, from sourcing to documentation, evaluation, selection, tendering, negotiation, and awarding contracts for high-value multidiscipline projects.

Flexible with occasional travel into our London office
