WHAT TO EXPECT

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Performance Lead (Electrification) to join the Business Performance Commodities and Technologies team.

In this role you will have the opportunity to challenge existing thinking, whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.

You will be responsible for driving material (piece) cost idea generation and profit improvement through Propulsion commodities and product teams.

In this position you will be leading teams to mature initiatives through to Chief Engineer acceptance on our products.

The is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is looking to balance technical and commercial acumen to gain business wide exposure, as you will be able to engage with functions across the entire business using benchmarking, data insights and stakeholder management to optimise our vehicles profit margins and EBIT %.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

In this role you will act as the day-to-day lead, responsible for building cost reduction and profit improvement roadmaps to achieve a pipeline target across different commodities and COC areas, whilst maintaining and/or improving product quality.

Further responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Delivery in both the short term and longer-term program lifecycle as longer lead time / strategic opportunities are identified.
Plan and design cost reduction sprints that support program requirements, whilst maintaining pipeline visibility and reporting progress of the programme at defined intervals.
Data analysis & digital tools utilisation to identify incremental opportunities or risks mitigation and track delivery
Liaising with VAVE (Value Added Vehicle Engineering) and teardown teams to support idea generation through competitor benchmarking.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

We are looking for someone that has a proven track record of creating and curating cost reduction and profit optimisation opportunity pipelines.

You will be someone with a technical engineering and/or production purchasing background that can demonstrate a strong knowledge of project management tools and methods in an Agile environment.

Essential:

Advanced MS Excel skills (Including pivot tables and charts)
Experience in Automotive Electrification
Strong technical and commercial awareness, with the ability to understand and build compelling business cases to drive initiative approval
Strong business acumen and financial understanding, including the ability to develop and scrutinise business cases
A proven track record in project and change management/transformation
