Overall Purpose of this Post:
- To prepare students for their future including academic learning, handson experience and personal, health and social education to suit their learning needs.
- To work within a team and ensure best practice.
- To carry out all assessment tasks as directed by management & CEO.
- Ensure all compliance standards relating to the test centre operation and Aim Awards policies and security protocols are adhered to.
- To efficiently manage behaviour and attendance during all sessions.
- Update assessment spreadsheet in line with students' progression.
- To maintain progress records/portfolios for each individual student.
- To prepare sessions to effectively deliver the scheme of work to ensure that students' learning and development through vocational education is continued and maintained.
- To adhere to and promote the ethos, aims, policies, and practices of the charity.
- Attend endofday meetings and training with other delivery staff.
- To ensure Continuous Professional Development (CPD) is relevant and uptodate.
Responsible for:
The ongoing duties of the post are agreed with the charity's Board of Management sub-committee. Contractual and employment issues are managed by management & the CEO.
Major objectives are as follows:

To ensure the work planned is completed to a satisfactory standard
Ensuring that students understand the work they are to cover during the session and that they are aware of the tutor's expectations.
Motivating students to complete tasks and encouraging them to interact and work cooperatively with others to ensure that all students are engaged in vocational activities.

Ensure all compliance standards relating to the test centre operation and Pearson security protocols are adhered to
Ensure student information is kept in a secure location at all times

To work with a team of Community Tutors/ assistants/ volunteers
To work with a team and volunteers in order to maintain and improve the quality of service and consistency of delivery
To ensure students gain a broad knowledge of life skills through PHSE sessions
To present and deliver sessions to high standards using knowledge gained from your Education and Training qualification
To deliver high-quality vocational experience
Ensure student assessments and other work related documents are kept archived

To ensure students behave appropriately
Managing the behaviour of students to promote and maintain order and a calm learning environment including the implementation of the charity's Trauma Informed Behaviour Management policy.
To adhere to and promote the ethos, aims, policies and practices of the charity
Promoting the inclusion and acceptance of all students.
Leaving rooms and resources in good order or handed back to other staff as appropriate.
Ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of students is maintained at all times
Implementing the appropriate policies of the charity, e.g. safeguarding policy.

Other duties as required
Assisting and undertaking the preparation of resources for use in other training sessions as directed.
Working with colleagues to support individual students or groups of students as directed.
Salary:
£11.15-£12.15 per hour
