York Carers Centre is a registered charity based in the city centre providing a wide range of information, advice and support to unpaid carers of all ages throughout York.

We are currently recruiting for a new CEO, to build on the excellent work of our retiring CEO, and who will lead our well-respected and successful charity through the next phase of development.


This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated inspirational leader with a proven track record in senior management and innovative fundraising capabilities to join our friendly dedicated team.

Reporting directly to the Board of Directors through the Chair, the CEO is accountable for ensuring good governance and the highest quality support to unpaid carers across York.


Working with the Deputy CEO and the Board of Trustees the CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational management, building a sustainable funding portfolio that meets the changing and identified needs of unpaid carers.


You will have excellent communication skills and a deep understanding of the issues carers face and the impact of caring on health and wellbeing.

You will develop collaborative relationships, externally and internally and ensure our service delivery is of the highest quality.
