Working in a pressurised environment to provide a professional, accurate and prompt administrative function to facilitate the delivery of a professional, efficient and effective service.

Using own initiative in sometimes complex situations.

Deal with sensitive and confidential issues affecting patients, the public and staff according to guidelines.


As a member of the Administration Team, a flexible approach to the post is essential to enable prioritising the different workloads and duties.

Knowledge and understanding of the structure, policies, management and operational procedures within the department and the Health Board as required in order dealing with internal and external enquiries in a competent and confident manner

The post holder will provide an efficient administration service to support the medical secretary team with an accurate, confidential and supportive administration service for patients, clinical teams, carers and internal and external agencies in order to: Provide a safe and efficient patient pathway and provide information and appropriate support to families and carers

The post holder will provide an efficient high quality typing and administration service to support the medical secretarial team.

Support the team in the management of patient's medical case notes and effective filing system and supporting the patients along the defined patient pathway.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
