We are Parker Smith Inclusion, an ethical and people-focused SEND recruitment consultancy based in London and Essex. We are currently working with a therapeutic Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) school located in North London.

The school has 3 sites in Brent, Barnet, and Enfield, and they are looking to hire a passionate SENCO to join them in January on a permanent contract.

About the school

The school has 3 sites for pupils in KS3 and KS4 who have been diagnosed with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH).

Pupils with SEMH may have behavioural challenges such as anger, frustration, self-harming, withdrawal and verbal/physical aggression.

Many of them come from broken homes and disadvantaged backgrounds; some have been neglected, suffer from anxieties, and experience domestic violence and abuse.

The school provides therapeutic and holistic education to nurture and support children to thrive.

Class sizes are small (up to 3 pupils) and their focus is to build good working relationships with children and really understand their needs.
