About the job


To provide administrative and junior professional support across the range of Advice and Employee Relations functions (including HR Helpdesk, Discipline; Industrial Relations; Job Evaluation/Grading; Attendance Management and Redeployment).


Key responsibilities


To provide administrative and junior professional support flexibly and generically across the range of Advice and Employee Relations functions as directed.

This may include specialising in a specific area for a defined period.


The main generic responsibilitiesinclude:

  • Providing general HR advice and guidance to managers and staff.
  • Providing management information.
  • Managing spreadsheets/databases.
  • Arranging meetings and taking minutes.
  • Responding to mailbox/phone etc. enquiries and providing standard correspondence to managers and staff.

Skills, knowledge, and experience

  • Experience of working in a human resources role, liaising with staff and managers at all levels.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills in order draft correspondence and to provide advice and information to staff at all levels.
  • Good interpersonal skills in order to develop and maintain effective working relationships at all levels and to demonstrate tact and discretion when dealing with sensitive issues.
