Home-based Children in Care Social Worker - No Court Work - Under 14's


A Local Authority is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join their Children in Care Service, specifically within the Under 14's team.


Highlights:


  • Will be working with service users below the age of 14 who are in the care of the Local Authority
  • This post does not involve Court Work and will focus on doing direct Life Story work as well as helping service users achieve permanency
  • Most service users are under Care Orders with a very few S20 accommodated and these are generally in the Local Authority.
  • This is a homebased post where you will be working from home but still completing visits. You will have the option to go to the office
  • This is a largely stable service and benefits from high retention rates so its unlikely there will be disruption to your work load.


Most service users in are generally under Care Orders with a very few S20 accommodated and they are generally placed in the Local Authority rather than other regions so there is mínimal travel involved.

As this is a home-based post you will only be requiredto carry out your visits and you will be given autonomy to arrange this as necessary as long as they are done within timescales

To be considered for this post you should have worked in a similar team.
