Job description:

Fantastic opportunity for a Finance Controller to join a well-known and highly successful business based in Liverpool.

Due to continued growth and exciting plans a Group Finance Controller is required to join a high calibre and well-established finance team.

Purpose of the role:

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position is key in ensuring that the business

receives accurate and timely management information and adheres to all its financial and regulatory obligations.

**Key Responsibilities: - Take responsibility for ensuring that the financial processes, systems, and controls are operating effectively and improving where appropriate.

Overseeing sales ledger, purchase ledger, payroll, cash posting and all general ledger entries.
Supervise the preparation of, and review the month end accounts, preparation of the group consolidated accounts.
Development of P&L, Balance sheet and Cash Flow forecasting.
Handling VAT, PAYE, and Tax duties, including corporation tax.
Preparation of the consolidated Statutory Accounts, liaison with auditors and preparation of audit packs.
Project management of process changes and implementations

Skills & Experience:

Significant exposure to statutory and management account preparation.
Comprehensive and uptodate technical awareness of accounting standards and regulatory compliance.
Being a visible team member, offering proactive input to drive the business forward.
Ability to seek out, manage and influence opportunities for continuous improvement.
Advanced MS Excel skills.
