Primary School Classroom Assistant - Feltham
We have a fantastic opportunity to join a School in the Feltham area as a Primary School Classoom Assistant. The role as a Primary School Classroom Assistant is a fulltime position from Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4pm.

Experience working as a Primary School Classroom Assistant would be ideal but you must have experience working with children in some form of capacity and be willing to support children with multiple special needs

The School:

A primary school for children with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have an additional diagnosis of autism
Cater for children from 3 to 11 years old
OFSTED 'Good' rated school located in Feltham
Pupils are happy to be at school and keen to participate in the wide variety of activities provided for them
Learning environments are stimulating and interesting and designed well to meet pupils' needs, including those of pupils who use wheelchairs and/or walkers

The Role:

Promote inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
Communicate effectively and sensitively with pupils to adapt to their needs and support their learning as a Primary School Classroom Assistant
Maintain a stimulating and safe learning environment by organising and managing physical teaching space and resources
Create a stimulating environment and motivate pupils with their learning

Requirements:

Either live in Feltham or within a commutable distance
Able to work Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 4pm
Good communication skills is essential to communicate effectively with the pupils and teachers as a Primary School Classroom Assistant
The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure as a Primary School Classroom Assistant
As a Primary School Classroom Assistant you will need a good understanding for building positive relationships with children
